The Long and Winding Road

Our final few days in NYC were spent with the lovely Rachel.

Leaving NYC, we drove through Staten Island, technically hitting our goal of being in all 5 boroughs. Sweet.

IHOP is a delicious way to start a road trip.

 

In Toledo, we were beyond thrilled to see so many amazing family and friends!

 

 






We swung by Chicago to visit some dear friends. MJ got to hang out with the fabulous Cecilia. We think he may be in love. A wonderful visit!

 

 

Back through Lancaster, Ohio to see some old friends and for Michael's 20th high school reunion! So great!

 

 

 

Bring on a 13 hour road trip...and we are home. Grandma and Gramps are there to greet us and we are back on sweet Savannah soil.



On our trip, we:

Walked just over 200 miles (with MJ on Michael's back).
Ate so much great food (and drank so many delicious coffees!)
Discovered that $50/day does not go very far in the Big Apple.
Didn't EXACTLY set foot in Staten Island, but felt that we really got a sense for each of the boroughs.
Felt that we got to live the dream of "living" in New York City, but it was great to come home.

Michael Jr. handled the whole thing beautifully. Such an adaptable little nugget!

A great big thank you to everyone that hung out, hosted, helped, and supported us on our trip.
